I used to hate the AI overview, but I've slowly been getting used to it and now I will often settle for what the AI gives. It's better than scrolling through loads of links and trying to weed out garbage SEO optimized sites.

So many models coming out these days, so many developments happening in the AI space in general, it's kinda hard to keep up with it all. I don't even really know for sure what would be considered actually groundbreaking or signifi

It would be interesting to see video of the birds getting incinerated in mid flight. I presume there is video of the aftermath ("workers have nicknamed the smouldering birds "streamers", because they leave tiny wisps of white

It is. Sometimes the writer will add "didn't respond before press time" to give a little more context, but most readers won't grasp what that could really mean (like the reporter might have contacted them 15 mins before

With the internet, even the disabled and really old and infirm people can find ways to connect with others, alleviating (somewhat) the social isolation aspect of wanting to take a "long walk in the woods". My gut tells me that new

Good old insurance companies, always looking for ways to get out of having to pay out for claims. I mean, I guess it is their job, so can't really fault them for that.

Stores have been doing this since the dawn of...stores. Or at least when currency was first invented. There are very established processes and practices for this sort of thing. It's a cost of doing business, in the same way people pay
