I think really hostile is overstating it. He's clearly not a fan, but he seems content to (mostly privately) disapprove rather than take actions against it, which is what would to me qualify him as hostile.

Note that a big difference between cargodist and simutrans is in simutrans the customers have a destination before they come to your station, so opening up new routes will increase your customer base. In cargodist, you get the same amount o

It is cloudflare who made the claim that they are well behaved unlike those other bots and that their behaviour can be controlled by robots.txt If I need to treat cloudflare bots the same as malicious bots, that undermines their claim.

So what’s the user agent for their bot? They don’t seem to specify the default in the docs and it looks like it’s user configurable. So yet another opt out bot which you need your web server to match on special behaviour to block

In 2023, peak renewable generation capacity was 75% of typical energy demand: https://www.eirgrid.ie/news/new-record-wind-energy-all-islan... For actual generation over a longer time period, in February 2026, 48% of en

Because at the moment wind has been the winner in the Irish climate, especially when you look backwards long enough to account for the time scales over which energy buildouts occur. Renewables have grown to 40% of the overall supply, result

I was mugged as a teenager, and my house was burned down as an adult because a drug dealer lived on the same street. Does that count me as sufficiently wronged to not be dismissed for sharing the parent posters viewpoint?

By accepting the transfer from Ruby Central to Ruby Core, he's accepting the idea that it was Ruby Central's to give away. For someone who's usually seen as a mediator within the Ruby community, it kind of hurts that image.

As long as the fork complies with the terms of the AGPL, Minio can't stop them from using the code. As the article acknowledge,s hey could potentially rely on trademarks to make them rename it.

You could, but the reason that companies ask for CLAs is to free themselves by that restriction. If Minio just wanted to use the changes under AGPL, the contributor could just license them under AGPL, no CLA needed.
