@Tutaroo But that is my point. Even with all my education, I'm still expected to educate myself even further. I'm not against this at all, but I wonder when the circle stops. Also, should I venture into a new field in order to sup

I can only envy your drive, because I don't have much left. And yes, I live in the EU (Denmark). In this automated world, I would wish I'd spent more time trying to learn a technical skill, but I'm left purely with analytical

My field of study doesn't include anything but analytical skills. Which means I would have to become a consultant. I'm the first in my family to go to university, and frankly, I thought that it would prepare me for a job. The last

Capital/resources are accumulated. It seems unlikely (for now) that someone will be able to muster the same amount of knowledge and data as some of this revolutions frontrunners (Google, Amazon, etc.).

Thank you for the answer. It is not as if people in this situation have not tried. It's perfectly normal for people in my country to have at least one, and often two internships during their studies. It is also the norm that most peopl

"[...] where fewer and fewer people have the necessary skills to work in the frontline of its advances" This is my main concern. Where I'm from, even with a university degree an age of 27 and over 20 years of school behind me

In order for anyone to get into an advantageous position, it would require that the 99 % are able to purchase your automatically produced product, which is capitalisms reason to provide balanced salaries to "the rest of us".

Holy moly. I had no idea this was such a hot topic. I tried "HintHunt" in London two years ago and loved it. Back in Aarhus, Denmark where I'm from, we just got our own version called "Escape Factory". I'm gonn

Tried London - was also a blast! Going to the local "Escape Factory" in Aarhus, Denmark in a few weeks with work. Fairly new location with a "Enigma" (WW2) themed room. Hope it can deliver!

Synhtetic rhino-horn is a clever idea, but one could suspect that once it goes "mainstream", the demand will also rise. Or am I completely wrong?

This might be far out, but could it also hint that we are very unproductive while using social media and apps, and in general not creating any value (which to my knowledge are some of the biggest time-consumers when on mobile)? I mean, when

I can agree with this on so many levels. As a student in a somewhat challenged branch of it, I often feel like me and my fellow students are "wasting" time on merely explaining theories, when in reality, a lot of us are very eager

That is not technological determinism. Technological determinism would suggest that this happens WITHOUT OUR SOCIAL WORLDS BEING ABLE TO INTERVENE. I don't subscribe to this. Read this by Sally Wyatt - https://prezi.com/

I'm a student, and I've been unfortunate enough to experience stress first hand. Not just "Ohh, I'm so busy"-stress, but real stress. The essence of the quote is that if something is not right, it's because you

This was my thoughts as well. It seems like laying low for a couple of weeks (if you can afford it) would be the easiest way to avoid possible threats. Rent a car and go to another state or something. If we have to go all "Jason Bourne

Perhaps it's because CSR is just a facade. Too often we're seeing companies branding themselves as customer-centric, and with the large volume of tehchnology-illiterate in the population, people believe anything/doesn't
