   The problem with Discord isn't the branding, it's the license. Anything you send in Discord can be used for branding material by Discord. Not good for a business.

    For something like this PHP should be fine. While PHP might not be the best for modern applications, PHP 7 is quite the competent language, and if you're experienced with this stack it's probably your best bet.

    - Inkscape compared to Illustrator is weak and extremely unoptimized, and until recently didn't really work on MacOS. - FreeCAD does everything different than common CAD packages, while Inventor and Solidworks are functionally equivale

    Autodesk gives nearly all their products away to schools including Maya, Inventor and Revit. I do agree with the rest of your comment, in a roundabout way- the individuals who are willing to leave industry to become teachers have knowledge

    At my University (Ohio State) we get unlimited bus passes in the metro area for quite cheap. Sadly, we don't have any real public transport lines. Columbus is one of the largest US cities without light rail/subway.

    I fell victim to this while implementing my personal website. An easy fix to be sure, and one that I think is worth it for the hidden scroll bars (which I prefer), but kind of annoying.
