Nope, many companies have their own internal design systems for keeping look/feel of marketing materials, UIs, etc all consistent. Even at PlanGrid, when we were 450 people, we had our own design system.

this rings true actually. I had a friend who typed with just the three fingers on the right hand while the left hand hovered all of the most essential letters with all five fingers. it seemed to work pretty well to just have one hand huntin

I also have bluetooth headphones, but I prefer not having to worry about battery, prefer the sound quality, love the simplicity (pairing doesn't exist), and enjoy the utility (can plug into anything with an aux cord). I can justify any

Some of us in androidland continue to buy phones specifically because the headphone jack offers a quality of life improvement more than whatever other features are offered in place of the jack.

This is the same for any piece of crypto. If you've been provided someone else's encryption keys, and they're not either from the person themselves, or from a trustworthy intermediary, then your channel could be getting inter

Pedantry aside, isn't it? In a thread about the backlash to whatsapp changes, Op said "it's not what you think it is!!!" The point is, this happened to be a watershed moment. Whether the conditions (mining metadata) were

So your rational is: since Facebook was already mining your conversation metadata, people shouldn't be leaving. Did I capture that accurately? Seems pretty flimsy. You're right though, people should have left a long time ago.

Bill has been known for getting in on buying vast amounts of resources that underpin society. He's the single largest shareholder Canadian National Railway, who owns most of the rail infrastructure in Canada.

Because people pay for output, not input. They don't care if you bought a pencil from someone else or grew the tree, made the paint, etc all yourself. They buy a pencil.

This has nothing to do with corporations being people. This and citizens united have nothing to do with each other. Businesses do not need to give you a platform just because. They reserve the right to do business, or not do business, with

One thing I've done to combat this is to aggressively tamp down on things that vie, or worse yet, call for my attention. I leave my phone permanently on do not disturb mode (pagerduty and immediate family are the only exemptions). I us

They shouldn't be including expiring software in something that they sold as perpetual. This sounds like a class-action waiting to happen. Your users bought your software with a specific usecase and premise, and it stopped working.
