So it turns out you CAN earn money on non-copyrighted work. $40,000 is not a small amount for most people. Well-deserved for the developer, hats off for the idea, implementation, and Bitcoin as a payment option.

This is funny because the first keyboard I had, back in the 386 days (1992 I think), didn't had this problem. I remember playing two player games on it without any "ghosting". The keyboard was very solid - hard plastic keys a

My computer was compromised once, and I consider myself tech-savvy. I don't use Windows as well. Two of my collegueges lost BTC due to computer compromise as well. Now imagine what happens to people that know close to nothing about sec

This is what third party escrow services are for. They can use the Bitcoin as a framework to utilize customer protection if it's implemented right.

Irreversibility is not a bug of Bitcoin, it's one of its greater strengths. Just look at the numbers that Paypal/eBay and merchants publish about the fraud caused by reversing payments. It's counted in millions, if not billio

It still centralizes risk by putting it all on yourself. There were MANY cases of Bitcoin theft from user computers - allinvain's 20k theft among others. This is by far not the best way yo store Bitcoins.

It's just that people have to understand that current Bitcoin service implementations are wrong. If you have Bitcoin private keys laying somewhere on your server, you are doing it wrong. If you're covering that by the fact that yo

Thank you for the reply. I don't have any proof for the automatic reissuing on hand at this moment, I've read about it on Bitcointalk forums where several people claimed that they observed this behavior.

I think that his points against transaction malleability are invalid: - technical one - Bitcoin clients have a 100 ms delay before they relay messages. An attacker can compile a modified client that doesn't have these limitations and s

Since we are a P2P exchange, we don't foresee to have more than few dozens transactions per minute when we grow big. I'm sure the Bitcoin network can handle such volume.

The reason is two-fold. One is legal/regulation stuff, as jccooper said (for seller account especially). Second is seller protection - if a buyer wants to scam sellers, we can blacklist him based on his ID, so he cannot scam anyone aga

Mt. Gox and many other exchanges have put into people's minds that you HAVE to forfeit your rights to your Bitcoin when using online services. It doesn't have to be that way, though. You could just use a system like we use at Bita

At Bitalo [0] we use multi signature wallets all over the place - for user wallets (so we cannot move them without users permissions), but also for company wallet for storing fees. For the latter, all board members have keys for them, but y

It wasn't the case for me. Portal 2 worked fine on my Air with Intel HD 4000 graphics. Well, I didn't beef it up to maximum detail level, but it ran pretty smoothly.

To elaborate on that. If not very careful, you can end up sending a big fee, since the fee is calculated in the following way: sum of all inputs values - sum of all outputs values "Change" is an output that you control to which yo
