From what I saw from the teardowns both RAM and SSD chips are replaceable. It’s not super easy because you need to take the screen off first, but it is doable.

It doesn’t share the wireframe of your face. It shares a generic face wireframe morphed to fit on your face. This wireframe lacks details that could be used to identify you in a way FaceID does. This is not worse than letting the developers

We're using Keepass / MacPass password protected vault shared with the team using Dropbox. It's really good and essentially free to use if you use a free Dropbox account.

On a MacBook with a retina (high-DPI) screen, the browser resized versions of animal photos look much sharper to me, because the browser utilizes all the pixels, while the resized image doesn't utilize screen's resolution fully.

Also, it took them a whole week to achieve this. So this is definitely not something someone could realistically do to you unless you are a some sorts of high-profile target.

I didn't use Mattermost, but probably the biggest advantage of Rocket.Chat is that it is totally free to use. On the other hand the UI is sometimes not as polished as other commercial solutions.

I am using Meteor in my work on a daily basis, and still love it! On the frontend I use Vuejs instead of Blaze, though.

Well, you’ll probably have to hang on to it for a long time then, because Apple will not bring the headphone jack back. They never did that before for any port/hardware feature they removed afaik.

I think Slack tries to mimic IRC more than ICQ, and all IRC clients I know had big windows, because they assumed you want to see what's happening on the channel at all times.

Sorry, but it doesn't work for me at all. When I try to add a service, I get the login screen for few seconds, and then the whole window turns gray and I can't type anything, the only thing I can do is to close it. Tried several t

It's a shame and a terrible irony that one of the most successful industries on our planet is also one of the leading causes of deaths on Earth.

This attack doesn't expose Wi-Fi network key, so I assume it doesn't let you join the network, just sniff the traffic of the targeted user (and also, in some cases, forge/inject packets).

I don't have a way to measure raw USB events, but it takes around 90 ms between me pressing a key on the Macbook's (2015 model) keyboard and a character showing in the TextEdit.app.

Also, planes are a terrible idea. I mean how do you evacuate people from them if something goes wrong? I think this whole airplane thing is just vaporware.

Did you actually tried it and did it use 4GB of RAM for you? I did and it used about 120 MB of RAM, which is not tiny, but not even in the ballpark of your figure. I know hating Electron apps is the new fad, but it would be nice to check th
