Not really interesting per se, but useful when dealing with large recursive and sparse archives: A python script that recursively searches through zipped files within zip files (within zip files...) to find files by name and content. The go

I am still running a HL-5250 DN which was released around 2005. Recently I've replaced the drum with an aftermarket part. The only thing the irks me is the standby power consumption ~20W.

All I want is Sim City 2000 for mobile. I know it will not happen. Without microtransactions there is no way it will ever get green lighted by EA.

LinkedIn is a strange place indeed. People interacting like overexcited toddlers, banalities are shared like life-changing epiphanies, people are congratulating themselves on jobs well-done. I considered writing a short story about an alien

The generation of electricity from a typical 1,000-megawatt nuclear power station, which would supply the needs of more than a million people, produces only three cubic metres of vitrified high-level waste per year. High level waste

It was IK+ on the Amiga for me. Such chaotic gameplay, so many eastereggs (press T). The soundtrack and the digitized fighting noises. I miss that time.

You could be me :) I ran an Athlon 700 with BeOS as daily driver. So much goodness, such a glimpse of a future that never was. IIRC, the leaked dan0 had a fix for this behaviour.

Most likely they know who paid for the address. I need to check if payment via credit card was an option in 2009 or SEPA only. IIRC, the gmx.com address was registered again later by someone else.

The interesting thing is that satoshi was using a gmx.com address, emphasis on the .com. Those were only available to paying customers of GMX.de.
