Sounds nice from a PR standpoint but you can't really compare the two companies based on revenue growth. Lyft is still a smaller company so in a global industry it's much easier for it to grow faster on a percentage basis. They&#x

The majority of programmers should never be directly coding to account for DST but instead should be using libraries (JodaTime, moment.js) that abstract local time differences. There are just too many to keep track of. I'm glad I don&#

I think you're missing the reason why people are excited about Black Panther. It actually has more to do with the motivation of profit than representation. Obviously there have been several decades of positive black cinema but the audi

Try taking pictures during the "golden hour" (sunset). Almost any outdoor picture, particularly clouds and water, is going to be much less dull during that time. Colors from the sunset are reflected off of everything else making t

Not surprising to read that Los Angeles was the starting point for jaywalking laws. Still today, it enforces them harder than most other cities. Try running across an empty street with no crosswalk for 1/4 mile in either direction in f

Except in this case all of the entrenched, large internet businesses (Google, Facebook, etc) are against ending net neutrality. You would think that since they have the deep pockets to pay ISPs, they would be the beneficiaries. So are they

The bigger difference is between single people and families. If you have an infant or disabled family member, transportation through biking isn't practical. If you have two kids at different schools who both need to arrive between 8am

Usually a team will pitch to the shift though. Ex. if the shift is to the left side on a right handed batter they're not going to throw him a fastball on the outside corner. And it's much harder to take an inside pitch to the oppo

Possibly. My guess is that only the exceptionally good leadoff guys will make it to a team, making them more expensive. Other teams might rather have a slugger hitting first than an average fast guy. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
