I really enjoy writing OCaml but I hate all the tooling around it. It lacks a good package management and build system à la Cargo.

What is the deal with features being exclusives to EEP? I really hate that. I want those features but I don't want the EEP support. I can't justify paying 5 times as much just for those features.

Slightly off-topic but please stop this js smooth scroll nonsense. If I wanted to use smooth scroll I would have enabled it in my browser.

Arch has had python2 and python3 binaries for a long time. /usr/bin/python2 has been there since at least 2010 https://git.archlinux.org/svntogit/packages.git/commit/trunk...

My input speed definitely is my bottleneck when writing down the code I have constructed in my head. So why not optimize this part of programming?

Both, a lot of the cool features come from Erlang's OTP library.

Elixir is not a framework around Erlang. It's a language running on the Erlang VM (BEAM) with painless erlang interoperability. It's the most popular alternative language to erlang on BEAM.

For me npm has always been the worst dependency manager I've used. What bugs me the the most is that it installs all packages to node_modules by default. It is possible to specify another location but then your application will probabl

And for non mac users compiling iOS is not only difficult but also impossible without going through the pain of setting up a macOS vm. I guess I won't be updating dash on my iPhone anytime soon.

I can understand why they wouldn't support Linux/Blackberry/WP. As a Linux user I'm used to that. But not having windows support? Really?

This is how I manage my dotfiles since I discovered stow a couple of months ago. The only thing that bugs me is that I haven't figured out an elegant way to have some configs include machine specific configs. For example a set of bash

I love programming, but I hate puzzles. Solving puzzles is nothing like programming to me. Programming to me means crafting your own pieces of the puzzle and being able to create something unique and beautiful. Of course programming has som

Go ahead and fork. Just leave me alone while I enjoy using systemd. I think some people are taking this way too personal and overreact. Forking is probably the best way to stop all the whining.

I don't install apps that have a banner that says 'FREE' in their logo. I always suspect these games to be of very low quality (I have no clue if that's true of your app as well) and that they are packed with micro transactions. This is how

I know there are quite a few compmgrs that have sync to blank e.g, Compiz, Kwin or Mutter, but they all come with a redicoulus amount of dependencies, which is why I'm avoiding those. I also tried cairo-compmgr but it's really buggy.
