I used to use vimWiki and then changed to normal vim because I like netrw and vim-vinegar + Goyo + netrw makes for a simpler workflow.

I worked for large companies as an excel modeller some years ago. Excel was my world. VBA is built in. That is the reason. Its the same reason emacs users use elisp.

I started again at 32. Similar story to you (kinda). 4 years later, I can build anything I want with lines of code in 3 languages. Best part = building is free (it takes time tho) + it's fun. My advice to you is to decide what you want
