Yeah, there are a lot of variables there, such as where you live and whether your million is in liquid assets or just your net worth. But a person with money who owns land still commands more influence than one without who doesn't. I w

At least you understood what I was implying. Most other commentors seemed to think I believed a single person with a million dollars could affect the change needed to avert the apocalypse. Or that I was implying said apocalypse was real in

There's something upsetting about that combination of traits, don't you think? "Millionaire hackers" should be using their influence and money to try to avert a doomsday scenario if they believe it's likely. Not jus

It also works well on Steam using their Proton system, although you'll have to opt in to it. I just bought this game last week!

My TV is a 42" 1080p LG TV I've had for almost ten years now and I fear the day it gives up the ghost. I don't really care about 4K or the thinner bezels (although having a physically lighter, as in less heavy, TV would be ni

I grew up on OS/2 Warp on a PS/1 Consultant. I still have a couple of boxes with original copies of OS/2 Warp and the manuals and optional software disks in my back closet. I guess you could say I have a soft spot for it. It

I think it only limits "freedom" in that it only makes sense on Debian-based operating systems. Whereas I can and do run npm on tons of different Linux distributions, MacOS, and (theoretically) Windows. You can do things with deb

At first, I thought this was going to be some "A Scanner Darkly" level stuff done real-time over Skype or something. Turns out it's just using thispersondoesnotexist.com to generate a profile pic for a website. I'd expec

Since the Mario Maker sequel is just around the corner (release date is 6/28, I believe), this is a great source of good design hints and lessons for making satisfying, enjoyable levels.

Is the implication of this article that people should be having kids to avoid loneliness? Because that's a bit of a twisted reason to have kids IMHO. "Low on friends? Have kids! They're pretty much required to be your friends
