The goal is to push those people into government/subsidized housing. I an understand the desire, in theory. In theory, it's better to live in a government housing project that is kept up to minimal health and safety standards. In

The power of government can be terrifying, when it's turned against you. It would be nice to have a third-party opinion from someone who lives in Clarksburg to fill in the details that this article is missing. It's not possible to

Rather than taking that route, I think we should be asking if his estate is liable for damages because of his illegal actions.

If I go with your figure of 64,000 * 5,000,000, it's not the tech-apocalypse. It's not like that money is going straight into a crack pipe. People with a lot of technical know-how would suddenly be set loose in a cash rich environ

Virginia is also a state that bans the use of RADAR/LIDAR detectors. I suspect that this business model is in trouble if GPS makers begin to track speed-limit information and pass that along to their users.

You are completely right about that. She was so very much in favor of US being surveilled that her complaint about it happening to her rings hollow. I had no idea that my previous comment would spark such a negative reaction from the mods.

Senator Feinstein isn't the best person to have speak out against this. She is rabidly hated by nearly half of the country, so any complaints she makes are ignored by them. These complaints need to come from a McCain/Lieberman-typ

I like the suburbs. I like that I have about 1/6 of an acre of land that my house sits on. I can grow a garden. My children have a safe yard to play in. I have a nice warm and dry garage in which I can perform my automotive repairs. I

As a Pittsburgher, I know some people who live here without cars but I wouldn't describe it as comfortably. There are a few decent neighborhoods where one could make due without an automobile but they're pretty expensive (by Pitts

I would suspect that it has something to do with the fact that a scam artist seller will hurt you a lot more with a bad deal on a house than with a bad deal on a car.

That, sadly, is why I am not longer an Apple user. 1990-2000, I was an enormous Apple fanatic. I went to user group meetings. I read everything I could get my hands on about their tech. When I learned to program C/C++ on windows machin

I'm a Pittsburgh area native and I still react with shock when I find out what my friends and relatives in other cities pay for housing. Over $1,000/month for a little apartment and $300/month for a parking space. You could b

One of the primary objections to Prop 8 was that we can't legislate morality. Or is it that only your morality should be eligible for codification in the law?

If that part of the country was really as liberal as you seem to think, Prop 8 wouldn't have been passed by a majority of voters.
