From my experience no it does not turn them into dumb phones, just disables most background sync, you can still turn on mobile data and wifi and use them, but they will turn off as soon as the phone "sleeps", lowers brightness etc

My only issue with their new licensing was the lack of perpetual license, now that they added it even being 1 year behind is a good compromise if I ever have to stop paying, but considering the discount of 40% after the 2nd year it becomes

Please elaborate, I havent used Netbeans for a while but it really sucked compared even to eclipse. Also never had any problems with maven integration on IntelliJ.

Thank you for the feedback, I will try to keep the project alive and have some other ideas that may become OSS projects too. About the commit messages I just try to keep them simple and descriptive enough for me in the future.

From my experience with windows 8 is even slower, it consistently stays there for 5 minutes saying it is installing etc (but sometimes the drive is ready within 30sec, but the message stays)

At least to me there is no specific method, I work mainly with Java, since your specific case is JavaScript it may not even apply. If the problem is some bug and there are stack traces that is my starting point, debugger and a few breakpoin
