CVT is banned from F1, IIRC. Performance would definitely improve given CVTs. Nonetheless, you're correct. It's just different. Each just has different requirements.

There was speculation that the call was related to Schumacher's use of the DRS. We'll probably never know for sure.

To be honest, Barrichello isn't someone you should pay that much attention to on such topics. I think he's the only F1 driver that still uses his right foot for braking when it's proven that left foot braking provides a clear advantage. Als

I don't think the last race did the DRS right, but the first few races used the DRS better. The point is the DRS should bring a driver almost along side, so if you have the advantage in terms of grip, you'd be able to pass. Before the DRS,

The swerving left and right actually does not keep their tires warm, especially at those lower speeds since they aren't generating enough downforce. What it can do is communicate to the driver what the tires can do right now and provide the

I wouldn't even call it that. They bought out Tweetie and made that their official client, then proceed to make it a pain in the ass for all other Twitter apps.

So pretty much a shit sandwich from Twitter. The thing is Twitter probably would not have been nearly as successful without all the 3rd party mobile apps, and now Twitter is screwing with the people that contributed to Twitter's own success

I like this idea. What do you think about using Valve/Steam? They are in similar industries but occupy almost completely disjoint spaces. Could it be a match made in heaven? Though, I do shudder thinking about having a company as incompeten

The main issue is that all the info used for password reset are in the hackers' hands. There may not be a perfect method, but maybe having a system that calls the phone number on file to give you a password reset code would have been more s

I believe the processing (and probably encryption) is done before the CDN using EC2 or some similar service.

Sadly, I don't think we'll ever see a matte screen iMac ever. The iMac is geared towards the consumer market, and the general consumer market prefers glossy screens.

In my opinion, a formal CS degree is not achievable in a summer’s time. Just the core material can take at least a year or two to finish as a full time student. This should include data structures, algorithms, some discrete mathematics, com

Perhaps using some kind of Markov chain process? It could be amusing, but would be more interesting with some kind of understanding of parts of speech.

You may want to have an explicit note saying it isn't required. People may think it is required because uploading a photo has its own step. Having a note will make the UX feel a bit more friendly.

That's actually calmed me down quite a bit. I'm sure the OkCupid guys are smart enough to get some autonomy.
