Anecdote is not data, but I have not set an alarm for many years - I sleep 5-6 hours (only 5 since I went vegan) and I wake up on my own, refreshed. Occasionally I’m tired, I take a nap. I don’t do coffee, I have unsweetened tea but don’t g

We use and like redash, because we can have it trigger zapier tasks when there are new results on a query. Makes cross-integration when testing new things great, and saves time in development being able to hack together a stop-gap solution

Nice writeup. Not sure I agree about DNS transparent proxying being rampant in ISPs (at least in the US).

Nice to see fellow TechStars Alum, Aaron's company Nomorobo mentioned. Aaron and his team work hard to have a strong service for those bothered enough to want a solution.

Also last I checked, if your rank goes from 12th to 9th, that's an improvement, not a drop.

I've hired for a few remote positions. The calibur of candidates, and number of applicants is higher than for a position in only one city. Also, typically you get people applying from much lower cost of living areas, so they can be hap

Came here to say this. I can imagine a lot of people instead of doing -o were just redirecting output... if this changes the behavior of that, then a lot of people are not going to be happy when a curl upgrade breaks scripts.

My naive understanding is that SSDs have portions of memory that go bad. They then use other, reserved portions of memory. As a result, not all of the memory is exposed for access to the host OS, only the on-drive controller sees the full p
