The ping data did not come from Rolls Royce, it came from the SATCOM provider. Rolls Royce did not receive data after the aircraft reached cruise altitude, despite early false reports that they did. The early maneuvering was seen on militar

There's only one satellite, so they only have (as far as we know) the delay time between sending out the ping and hearing a response to determine distance from satellite to aircraft, with no ability to triangulate the position as somet

There is no indication that is a low flying aircraft. It's reasonably common to see aircraft in satellite photos and nothing looks too out of the ordinary about this one. Nothing is indicating that clouds are above it either. Furthermo

It's not that fascinating. Most of the world does not have cellular or radar coverage, and those are the places where you will have a hard time finding missing aircraft (and phones).

Because after the pictures were taken they had to search thousands of square miles of ocean to find any tiny speck of anything that looked interesting. It's a very slow and tedious process.

I've done cross-country Amtrak travel multiple times and enjoyed it every time. You just have to be prepared for potential delays and willing to take it easy and roll with it. If you aren't in a hurry and see the trip as part of y

I don't know how blockchain.info actually works. If you give them your decryption key at any point, even if they claim not to keep it, then you're heavily relying on trusting them and that's not much better than the other web
