All ThinkPads up to T420/X220 (2011) have a proper delete/home/end/pgup/pgdown block at the top right. And then the 2017 ThinkPad 25 anniversary edition, which is what I'm using right now and hoping it lasts un

I think the screenshots disappear (instead of just going into a single column mode) on very small screens, so people looking at xmonad.org from a mobile phone may not see them. Hm, we might want to fix that, perhaps.

Hi, xmonad maintainer here. "nothing yet" is probably fairly accurate, although perhaps a bit too pessimistic. :-) A slightly longer answer is in a bullet point on our fundraising page ( https://github.com/sponsors&

waymonad has a somewhat more active fork here: https://github.com/L-as/waymonad , but it's still just a one-man show that got picked up at ZuriHac 2021 and then failed to gather sufficient momentum. As a maintainer

Hi, I'm the author of the strava-map-switcher[1] browser extension and last year I published strava-offline[2], a tool to download activities metadata from Strava into local sqlite database (and optionally also activities as gpx). I&#x

Related to 3.3 (You can’t restart a single job of a workflow), is there any reason why the numeric id of a specific job run isn't available anywhere? There's GITHUB_RUN_ID, but that only identifies the workflow run, not the indivi

I have a non-ancient computer with the same Debian (testing with a bit of unstable mixed in) on it for over 16 years now. I still get excited about new stuff, I just don't want that new stuff to break anything. :-)

+1 The current keyboard is not really fit to be used as a primary keyboard. A proper 7-row keyboard with full-sized arrows is really a must for people who use laptop keyboards as their main daily driver. Here's a picture of what one lo

I've been running a mixed testing/sid install since 2005 and not once did I have to reinstall. Even managed to cross-grade from i386 to amd64 a couple years ago.

What other major platforms still sell music though? Since Google Play Music's demise, I haven't been able to find a single one selling music in my region (Czech Republic).

I don't think that's it, really. The real trick is that Debian packages have sonames in their versions, so ABI compatibility is encoded in package dependencies. So when I try to downgrade a library (to a known older version from s

The types of issues upgrading e.g. glibc or openssl can cause are largely predictable, aren't they? That's why there's libtool and sonames and that kind of stuff. The only missing piece is support for this in the package mana

Can you elaborate why has Arch chosen to not support partial upgrades by design? They do work in Debian and it's saved my day a number of times. They let me roll back a broken upgrade without holding back upgrades of the rest of the sy
