The in-article version has a time.Sleep(2 * time.Second) after the scan loop. Not exactly reliable (waitgroups or channel signaling would be better) but better than nothing.

Github has been known to remove files and repositories simply because employees don't like them, despite them not actually breaking any ToS. They've also been known to block access to files/repos to users in certain countries

I don't know about OSX, but most of the Windows dialogs I see can easily be copypasted. Ctrl-C the dialog box, open a text editor/new email/et c, Ctrl-V it in. Unless you're doing something convoluted and making your own

I would say it's the latter. A majority of questions that I've found on SO that helped me solve a problem or answer a question have been marked as non-constructive. I don't know why people would do that from a logical perspec
