Can you spoil it for me, because I read it to the end and saw no mention of such a project. Unless you are referring to the DIY approach the article suggests.

Perhaps it's because in all but the simplest cases, you need 2 or more concatenations to achieve the same result as one single f-string? "literal1 " + str(expression) + " literal2" vs f"literal1 {exp

The answer is linked to by the section of the article you quoted: > (1) If you statically link against an LGPLed library, you must also provide your application in an object (not necessarily source) format, so that a user has the opportu

I'm not a Go player so I don't really know how it works in practice, but what you are saying seems to disagree with the wording in Wikipedia, so I'm curious which one is correct? You say: > if you forget that a particular

Chess also has this "problem" thanks to rules like castling and en passant capture.

I'm actually surprised you're complaining about Konsole then, given iTerm2's context menu almost doesn't fit on my screen.

Out of interest, what do you use the context menu for in a terminal emulator so often that it bothers you? I can't even remember the last time I opened it.

To add to the sibling comment, your CPU is not going to be using 100 W (if it can even reach that!) for more than a few seconds in total during 15 min of typical Photoshop use.

I thought it worked fine on Firefox, but then I saw the screenshot of what it actually looks like in Chrome (elsewhere in the comments).

I think you may be mixing up profiles and containers. Profiles do have a built-in UI at about:profiles or by launching Firefox with -P, neither of which requires an extension. Admittedly this UI is a bit basic, but a better version is being

That's essentially equivalent to coordinates since you still need to translate it to some human-understandable form, so it doesn't solve the problem.

Skype chats used to be peer-to-peer, so older history would only be kept locally by the client. If you have backups of your user/home directory from that time, it might be recoverable. IIRC they were stored in an SQLite database, so it

YouTube deliberately tries to prevent background playback by using web APIs to detect when the page is no longer visible and pausing the video. The extension prevents YouTube from doing that.

Aliases are not expanded in shell scripts, unless they explicitly opt into it. Additionally, they are run in a non-interactive shell, so will not load your ~/.bashrc where you probably defined the alias.

That's just passing the problem onto how you define \b. Since Japanese uses no spaces, it would match entire phrases or sentences as "words", treating only punctuation as word boundaries.

Not sure about other browsers, but Firefox's built-in bookmarks support tags - no need for external apps.

Can you clarify what "7 lines/s" means? Surely you are not saying that your 10k lines of C++ take more than 23 minutes to compile on a single core? Is it 10k lines of template spaghetti? For comparison, I just compiled a 25k

Qt is also available under the LGPL. There is no license advantage to using CopperSpice. I'm not sure what GP is referring to.

It's not so easy for the compiler if you use virtual functions (dynamic dispatch), dynamic linking, function pointers etc as the complete call graph might not be known at compile time.

pimpl is not for improving compile times (although it can help with that). It's for maintaining ABI compatibility by keeping your implementation details out of public headers.
