That used to be the case for me, but the Explorer right-click changes in Win11 are insane. It only shows the common options (i.e. the ones where you would use a keyboard shortcut rather than mouse), hiding anything you might actually have w

For your workaround you'd need to open the CSV in a text editor, set Excel types in a blank sheet, then paste. Not a problem for someone who understands the issue, but it is a slow/confusing way to open files. The real problem is

That bug is probably because of someone opening a CSV in Excel. It's a common one, sadly. Anyone using the US date format for transfer or storage (debatably also display) should consider it a bug.

I had a look and couldn't find a serious journalistic source with numbers to back my personal opinion. Lots of whiny Reddit threads, but only anecdata. My own experience is that Dungeons & Dragons character art can be better (and m

This will be harder. Blockchain is entirely useless for legal activities, "AI" is broad enough that it includes useful things. E.g. Obscuring copyright breaches is the number one killer app for genAI so far. It's decimated th

Any cryptocurrency investment is a bucket shop, not just exchanges. There's no underlying positive cash flow to return to investors.

Generally low-code are those gui-driven development tools. E.g. You can write a data pipeline in SSIS by just dragging boxes around and entering connection details. Sometimes the abstraction doesn't expose something you'd like, so

Like most ordinary folks, my threat model is the use of TPM for DRM. Netflix playing at lower resolution for example. Widespread TPM is actively harmful for most people, and the biggest blow to general purpose computing in recent years.

Those are just as adversarial as adblockers. If Google ever makes a serious attempt at breaking compatibility like they're doing now (or we've seen from reddit/twitter), you'll see degraded ux.
