Same here! I remember I found it such a pain that the embedded toolchains were mostly exclusively for Windows. I dabbled around with cloud9 IDE for a bit, but it wouldn't fit my workflow. Nowadays the WSL basically made Windows my all-

I remember reading about trespasser in a game magazine as a kid. The promises were high, an open world sandbox game with realistic physics was unheard of at the time. Then the reviews came and I remember that they were quite disappointing.

The value (in terms of money) of art has always been confusing to me. Art has monetary value because: 1 it is a famous, one-of-a-kind piece 2 it can be used for money laundering and/or illegal transactions Pieces in museums are always

Depends on your definition. If you don't care about socket compatibility you could simply load an 8-bit CPU in a fast FPGA. It will probably not be hard to run one at 100MHz or so.

That is correct. kW is used the same way as HP, except that kW is better standardized. There are many definitions of how much power a horse has, and just one definition of the watt. For example: the 'mechanical' HP (commonly used

I just happened to have watched The Big Short [0] yesterday. In the movie (based on real events) the same thing happened: during the housing crash suddenly every bank had 'technical issues' when people tried to sell their stocks.

Horsepower (which has many definitions) is the torque output multiplied by the engine RPM (divided by some number to make it equal to the strength of an average horse). Since these engines operate in a relatively low RPM range, the HP numbe
