Oops, I was calling HTTP/2.0 HTTP2 as a shorthand seems that I was so wrong to do that :-)

You only need a tracker in space, nothing more. Not sure what the disk usage is of the tracker though. I would guess it all fits in memory ?

I think the specification is written in a way to not differentiate between SSL or non SSL use.

Which doesn't help you in any way if your registrar is asked to take down a domain and does so. So this solution is totally unrelated to the story at hand.

I don't know why people think the foundation is a good thing. They deploy the same nasty tactics that the company does. That is not a charity.

It won't the JavaScript does not have to load from an external domain. If you can inject JavaScript-code in the HTML you are just as screwed.

It is what I use too. It just blocks everything which comes from an external domain. So in most cases it will also block malware, because malware authors seem to wait to use a 2-stage system. They let different hacked websites point to one

Feels a bit like deja vu from the google native client. As it was proven that many, many things are already fast in JavaScript.

Do you know what discoverability is ? Really how do users know ? It has to be obvious or users won't use it/understand or even discover it.

With autocompletion it will send every part while you type to the search-engine: p, po, por, porn, porns, pornsi, pornsit, pornsite, pornsite., pornsite.c ohhh, the user meant a URL, I'll stop sending it to the searchengine provider.

I did notice Opera shows on Youtube: www.youtube.com/watch but on clicking on it, it will show: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XXXXX So they leave out the the request parameters and the protocol to dumb it down.

Actually, currently it is an extension to (auto)hide the location bar. Nothing to worry about

    by Lennie 15y ago

The current example extension you can use to try it out does autohide of the addressbar with it's buttons. It is visible when first loaded and when you change tabs, etc. I think it is pretty easy to find.

Have a look at the extenion, it is in the mozilla labs blogpost: http://mozillalabs.com/prospector/2011/05/20/lesschrome-hd-m... What is does is autohide the whole bar. All it leaves is the tab bar with the Firefox-button and some kind of

It isn't really gonna go away, it is just auto-hide or gonna return in a different form. Have a look at the blog posts there are lot of different ideas there. Auto-hide is what the test-extension now does. I actually like it.

Don't you people know why it is 2 fields ? One to send to the search engine provider and one to NOT send to the searchengine provider if you know exactly where you are going. That is why Mozilla didn't combine them and that is why Google di

I think someone should just build a tool in html/css. Seems appropriate to me. Probably an open source project so other webdevelopers can help, I would expect that it would improve fast.

It shouldn't matter much. The test was just a javascript-engine test, this test does not do any rendering by itself.

Also SPDY does everything HTTP does, as seen from the 'upper layers' it looks and acts just like HTTP. Maybe more like HTTPS.

I doubt I can ever agree with Microsoft. They have this nice campaign running about how people should upgrade from IE6 to the lastest version: http://ie6countdown.com/ What does this mean ? IE8, because there is no IE6 on Vista or 7, so t
