It's still in the blood of the French. You don't have to be in Paris for long to encounter mass protests.

I always wanted to like KDE but never really good hooked on it way back when I was surveying desktop environments over a decade ago. Have been on xmonad on my main desktops for quite some time now and just going with GNOME, Xfce or LXDE in

I wasn't necessarily referring to the author here, it is more of a straw-man really. Could have worded that better.

Good points, thanks for the clarifications. > I did not say that, nor do I believe it, nor is it really related. Sorry for putting words in your mouth, but that's kind of how it came across as I read it.

No, but I would be just as upset if I wouldn't have done that contribution. There is no way they can change the past - my contribution is still open source and so is the project up until the version where they introduced the license ch

It's a great point to be aware of, but the title and the tone implies that you as a contributor should be a FOSS maximalist. As they say, not all open source is FOSS. And some people are OK with that. Let them contribute, as long as th

The clear break for me came in version 39. I am staying on Chromium 38 for the few sites and extensions where I still depend on Chrome and using Firefox for everything else. Once version 38 becomes obsolete I will stop using Chromium alltog

I completely missed the "from 1994" part (tag was not there at the time of my comment). Things have changed and I don't have my music history down it seems. But Kraftwerk was still first, no?

I have to say I am surprised and disappointed. Keybase has up until now been a shining example of doing crypto right but still accessible and easy to use. This decision falls strictly on the wrong side of the line of acceptable compromises.
