It would be interesting to see the net benefit a company had. Obviously putting money in employee pockets is a net benefit, but it stops being so great if tax dollars are just subsidizing bad business leading to a net drain on tax payers

Not defending how our stuff is set up, but it would be interesting to know how much taxes Yellow paid over it's lifetime. Excluding taxes paid by employees.

I close everything each morning. There is some sort of relief this provides me. Like clearing of noise in my visual field. It makes it easier to get started with work and stay working. edit: For my personal machine, this rule doesn't a

I’m not sure what, but a few years ago caffeine started to give me anxiety sometimes, or sick. I guess I just got older.

Society makes it hard as well. It’s unacceptable to be falling asleep high on opiates. Hitting a vape on a video call with coworkers is considerably more acceptable.

I like caffeine, unfortunately even small amounts tend to make me irritable and sick at the end of the day. Wasn’t always like that

Yes. On a compounded semaglutide. I can finally control my hunger and a nice unexpected effect has been losing a desire to drink large quantities of alcohol. I don’t drink during the week anyway, but it seems to be the volume that turns me

This may not have worked well for this specific PD for whatever reason, but Flock is already solving 5% of all US crime today. That’s pretty amazing.

This system doesn't work on just plates, it also makes a "fingerprint" of the vehicle. It's specifically designed to handle people trying to fool an ALPR system. Keep in mind, most criminals are stupid.

Auxiliary heat is built into a heat pump due to the need for a defrost cycle. The auxiliary is the backup.

It is not too cold in New York for heat pumps. With 20 year old technology yes, it would have required supplemental heat. Not anymore though, not until you get down around -25/-30f, at that point a resistive heater kicks in to assist.
