I saw that too, and I had to laugh. I like node.js, I use node.js, I've shipped large projects with node.js as part of the stack, and I'll very likely select node.js for elements of future projects. But... ...someone has been dr

I think IRCCloud has a UI significantly better than Gitter. (Then again, I'm not a fan of Gitter's UI, at least as far as their desktop OS X client goes...)

Slack is a lot better than IRC when used as intended. Also, my favourite IRC client (IRCCloud) is, in fact, $5/user/month, and I know I'm not even close to their only paying customer. I recognise you're engaging in hyp

Have to second IRCCloud as being a great IRC client. That being said, their pricing is probably no better than Slack's for this purpose ($5/user/month).

The point of flux is one way data flow. Your data lives in ONE place (the "store"), and then it's fed into your views, which render it in a deterministic fashion. User interaction triggers actions, which circle back around

Yes, I use it at work. Yes, I'm happy with it. My thoughts are: The core idea behind React is that it makes a ton of sense to think about views as being composed of pure functions which transform (immutable) data into a DOM. It&#x27

Oh come on, we're talking about 4 grams of tritium. Hydrogen bomb tests are estimated to have created several hundred kilograms of tritium, the bulk of which went straight into the oceans. No impact on sea life has been measured.

First, what "constant stream of new features"? Over the past 20 years it's been a fairly stagnant language. Second, stagnation is not a good thing. I make my living writing Javascript, and being able to write ES6 instead of
