The fact that you still have to apply as a developer is a bit discouraging. (though that might change...). I can't seem to find anything on github. Hoping that this is an oversight and that they will open-source the core platform in th

Agreed -- their only example is `pipexec -l 2 -- [ LS /bin/ls -l ] [ GREP /bin/grep LIC ] '{LS:1>GREP:0}'` which appears to be `ls | grep LIC` with more steps. Seems like a (cool) solution without a real pro

I agree that in theory it would be cool to have C code that uses only defined behavior and works on all platforms for all eternity. However, I think most programs have a fairly clear understanding of what platforms (OS+arch) they are target

If anyone is curious, on gcc 12.3.0 and clang 16.0.6 (x86_64), the answers are what most people (who have written lots of C) would expect: 1) 8 2) 0 3) 160 4) 1 (both clang and gcc output a warning) 5) 2 (only clang outputs a warning) While

I really appreciated the interactive video-style homepage on https://filecoin.io/ . I thought it was a lot cooler than the standard self-congratulatory graphs / bullet points that the I usually skim over. EDIT: However,

iirc, you can have a different base path, but you have to recompile every package locally to have the correct patched paths. I forget where I read about this. Seems like an unavoidable consequence of how modern software is built

Given the title, I would have expected a price/perf comparison across multiple tiers of servers. Focusing on two random (but similar) low performance instances makes it hard to generalize.

How is this mess better than Rust's enums? A Rust enum + match statement results in really easy to read and clean code.

I don't fully understand riscv, but shouldn't this be something like `RV64GC`? Are they building for the base riscv with no isa extensions? This might be addressed somewhere in the debian docs but I didn't see it.
