I percieved FBSD as slower at the times, more bloated so to speak ;-> OTOH it gave a very usable console at 132x60 on a 21" CRT, which NetBSD didn't at the time, at least not on X86. Its ports tree was also more comprehensive.

For me it was both. And it tought me to 'rice' NetBSD like Gentoo, being spoiled by its use-flags. Didn't translate 1 to 1 OFC, but was very noticable. Also noticable were the many bugs you ran into on the way. But... No risk

Depended very much on the CRTs used, there were very wide gaps in quality. Even a now obsolete HP ZR2240w (24" 1920x1200@60Hz) was a huge upgrade from a 21" Hitachi Superscan Supreme https://crtdatabase.com/crts&

The book felt dry and sort of boring to me. Which made me recognize that some movies can actually be better than the books they are based on. Which is not a given. That being said, there are sequels for the original movie in paperback, wh

On Desktop, with Firefox and uBo you can actually read it. It's just hijacking scrolling, which can be overcome by using the arrow keys :-> Besides that, it's nothing new. https://www.sfchronicle.com/bayarea

DT SJ is ok. They have nice shops, yummie street food, good restaurants, light rail, bicycle paths, nice parks, great public libraries. There is always something new to discover, when I'm there. But not as overwhelming as other places.

So what's the current usable fork of uMatrix nowadays? Switched from NoScript in the days of 'HttpSwitchboard', then over to uMatrix, but using uBo only now. Still missing some elements of uMatrix, though. How does it work wi

But they were rather uncomplicated, compared to the BGAed monsters we have now. Infrared heatguns and reflow ovens are nothing new. Neither is liquid cooling.

I'm unsure about the Ikea stuff. I only mentioned them because of comparable price range. Regarding the coils thing, their segmentations and how they are driven? Can only be measured after buying, or trusting the raging reviews on Amaz

Depends on your electricity. Induction will stay shitty at 120V AC. It needs at least 2500 Watts sustained per pot/pan, to be good. > Also during hurricane season, my gas burner still works when the power goes out. 'Powerwall&#
