Never ever tell them. Ever. Nothing good can possibly come of it. Every time I've shared my incurable illness it's exploded in my face.

I cost my company over a million dollars because I was lazy and spiteful. I made an L+1 hop to a competitor and now I make more money for less hours and I'm learning a ton.

I've done the AWS thing. We spent over $1 million on AWS and I couldn't be bothered to care. We were in eternal crunch mode, 10-14 hour days for 6 months. If I spoke up about AWS waste I'd get ripped apart by upper management

Lots of people calling for "A moratorium on AI research" "A more sophisticated debate" "New legislation to address AI" But then they don't actually do anything. They just "call for it".

Tesla has been disingenuous in its marketing of FSD. FSD is not full self driving. It's barely self driving at all. New Ford, bmw, and Subaru cars have equivalent self driving capabilities to Tesla. Tesla cannot make a turn at an inter

I think we should imprison the executives of any financial institution that fails. It is morally fair.

However you feel about the situation you have to admit there is a massive conflict of interest here. You have a clear financial incentive to have the American people bail out the companies you invest in.

The cynic in me says they're participating to shun the US and give more clout to China, not because they're interested in an agreement. That said I really hope the talks are productive.

I can't find the tweet where he suggests to Elon how to design the sides of the rocket. Elon just shuts it down. I've never once heard EDA push back on anything Elon says even though Elon can say some outlandish things every now a

Yeah he has an extreme level of confidence. Tweeting Elon about how to architect the landing fins to use "fish scale biomimickry"? That's ridiculous.

I forget exactly what he suggested but I remember is being like kind of dumb. Elon was humoring him. This guy is absolutely not a rocket scientist. He's not even an engineer.

I'm surprised at the amount of people who enjoy EDA. I find him very irritating. Most people at my small space company find him extremely irritating. He is not a rocket scientist. He parrots silly buzzwords like "biomimickry"

To be honest he's regurgitating a lot of information. He has large gaps in his knowledge but presents himself as extremely knowledgeable. Understanding a rocket engine as a layman is easier than understanding a diesel engine. EDA acts

Companies game this metric. SpaceX has all of their interns fill out Glassdoor reviews every cycle in exchange for swag. That's ~500 new reviews, presumably from extremely excited and doe-eyed college students, every 3-6 months.

These HN comments are pretty disappointing. So many people clearly did not read the article or have jumped to seemingly silly conclusions.

We should actually discourage people from pursuing sex work. Stigma and "whorephobia" (a term from the article) is a perfect way to do that.
