For enterprise .NET that's definitely small. I've commonly seen enterprise .NET projects that are in the millions of LOC. And one that was over 10 million.

Hmm. I think a lot of these people aren't out of work because they are fat... We have a lot of people who simply don't want to work. Getting them slimmer won't change that attitude.

I'm in the UK and know loads of people with Iphones or apple laptops, but zero people with the headset, and don't really know anyone with any interest in it. I've never even heard of a single person talking about it.

I've had years where I definitely spend less than £100 on clothing, and many years where I've spent almost £0 (I'm not counting running shoes here, or climbing shoes), those are kinda specialist, but day to day clothing defin

In regular training shoes I can barely run a mile without getting some pretty bad pains in the side of my knee. With good cushioned running shoes I can easily do 10-12 miles pain free. I'm assuming it's a form thing, and that the

15 days a year is awful! Here in the UK for a full time employee the minimum by law, regardless of how long you've worked at a place, is 28 days. For all full time employees. I think I'm on 32 now, and sick leave doesn't come

I own two proper Omegas and all the original Moonswatches. I don't feel it's hurt the Omega brand one bit in my eyes, I love both my Omega and Swatches for what they what are. I like that Omega are happy to do this, I think it sho

Depends on how many miles you are doing. If you only want to do 1 mile at 7 min, then that is doable, if you want to do 10k at that pace... I reckon you'd have to be a VERY fit and strong runner.

I'd be very happy if I could just maintain a 8min mile over 10k. 7 min mile sustained feels like an impossible goal. Hell, my best single mile is 6:48 and I'm dead at the end of that.

Yeah, I always go into note taking or a new machine thinking this time, THIS time it will be different. It will be organised, neat. Then it goes to hell within a month.

I collect watches, I'd love to have one of these but they are probably super rare to find second hand. Obviously I'd never be in a position to buy one from retail... There are a couple of pretty special pilot only watches. I like

I've been in a situation at a job where we were trying to debug some code, not ruby, but still written very concisely and clever. To even have a chance of debugging it we had to pull out more variables etc so we could breakpoint each p

We have those, and when I say inconsistent I mean inconsistent on the same query / exact same line of code on the same database. e.g. stick a breakpoint, step over, see in the debugger that it was not populating everything it should. T

Well, this month we had to debug an issue where EF was NOT populating fields on classes from the db, that it definitely should have been! So it still seems flakey. I've never worked a single job that chose EF that didn't end up

EVen if your ORM doesn't support this, you can always just turn on profiler on SQL and capture the actual query. SSMS has SQL Server PRofiler, i'm sure others have similar.

My salary in the last few years have jumped from 48k to 54k to 75k (and now have £6-£7k of extra income too, in interest etc) But I had to move jobs 3 times in 2 years to get those raises. And honestly, it still doesn't feel like enoug
