As someone who did a code review for a colleague and left over 100 comments... I would say that leaving those comments is handy as it's a single place I can check to see what comments I left and the state of the fix, or if it's no

In an ideal world, yes. In practice this almost never happens. Architecture evolves as the code is written. I don't think this is a good way to do things, but it's mostly what happens IME.

I have blackout blinds and blackout curtains but still light leaks in! It seems to come in via the top of the blind, there is a gap between the top of the window and where the blind is attached and then this leaks out into the room via the

Do people not realise how dangerous a viewpoint this is, to stop people you don't agree with talking / deplatforming. How do the left not realise how authoritiarian they actually are in this regard? And making someone out to be a

Also check that person isn't null, probably. person?.firstName?.trim(); What (s)he means though is in Java if firstName is there then it will be a string. In Clojure firstName might be anything, a string, a number or even an entire oth

In the example we wanted to be able to call (1 + 2) and have it evaluate to 3. (defn swap [x] (list (second x) (first x) (last x))) (swap (1 + 2)) =>Exception! 1 isn't a function. Clojure tried to evaluate it&#x

It was an admittedly simple example that was to show how easy it is in Clojure to treat code as data and data as code. The main point of macros is when you use a regular function in Clojure you have applicative order evaluation. Macros do n

I think if all you are doing is reading files line by line, reading a database dataset etc, then your choice of language is probably irrelevant. Choose whatever you prefer typing. But here's CLojres read a file line by line and print i

This is fairly common. I've seen the tech tests we receive from potential candidates and they are for the most part appaling. Our technical test is incredibly simple as well and they can do it at home in their own time. Imagine somethi
