Try lunacy[1] it supports .sketch files and is quite good for the early stage it is in, sometimes it has strange behavior (e.g elements disappearing from the screen after dragging)and the navigation needs a bit of polish etc. hopefully they

You should schedule backups first (if you have not already) I have 2 live backups of my primary computer, a dell laptop. One to a separate HDD installed in it and one to the cloud. I have windows file history configured to copy file changes

Do you remember swing and awt on Java? because that is what you are moving towards. This will not simplify web development, it will just produce code that is not maintainable for a project with any significant level of complexity.
