Well, they also claim "Fragmentation on the device side is not a huge problem"[1]. They do say ecosystem fragmentation is a problem. The problem addressed in your link is more underpowered devices than fragmentation. Sure, Android's ability

Gotta love Gruber. He makes good points, but at the end of the day he falls back on the intangibles like emotion. Apple does consistently make superior products and have succeeded in cultivating an emotional fanbase, but emotion don't mean

I don't know about that. Among the early adopter crowd, it is certainly true, but Twitter much larger than that group now. Most people use Twitter from the web or from an official Twitter app. I still think Twitter is going to have very ser

The iPod was largely built on contracted work and Safari/Webkit was built off KHTML. I don't get this whole "if not built 100% in-house, it doesn't count" meme. You might have a point about YouTube being an acquisition, but giving credit to

Except in this analogy, the Pepsi store would gladly sell Coke products. Let's drop the analogies and call it like it is. This is a company being overly protective of their store. It may be within their rights, but I don't think we should b

The problem I have with this article is the premise that if an app either started or is just also on iOS, somehow that invalidates its presence on Android. The iPhone had a huge lead in time and customer base. Any mobile app developer who c
