That has been definitely my case as well. I never "disdained" Apple devices, but they were not in my acceptable price range until I started having a regular salary. But I don´t really think they are so much better than Windows or

Point taken. I am actually glad to see a graphic novel being granted "book" status.

Is "Watchmen" considered a book ? Not complaining, just surprised.

The thing is, I cannot see how the increase in screen size will improve the functionality of the phone, at least in my case. As a phone, messenger, and audio player, the main functions for me, I cannot see any benefit. As a game console, gp

With hindsight, I don't think a resolution higher than 1080p was ever an option for Apple. Wasn't the original Retina display touted close to the limit of human perception ? Regardless of marketingspeak, higher resolution displays

About the specs: I don't think the average iPhone buyer is concerned about them as much as the average HN user. In the end what it counts is user experience, and if the average user see sharp, quick, responsive UI and fast applications

I don't think you can get much more information than heart rate from a non-invasive device whose only input is the surface contact with your wrist. Electrical Skin Resistance ("Sweat sensor") would be possible to measure, but

Please, make it so. Maybe they will start using Watches instead of doing this: https://www.google.es/search?q=bridge+padlocks&newwindow=1&h... Seriously, I can see it being used, but it's still very gimmicky.

I think interface wise Cook has the right of it when he says they didn't just strap a reduced iPhone on the wrist. It's clear that they spent a large amount of time and effort with the haptic feedback and the crown. But functional

Thanks. I guess the reason of having such poor support outside Apple browsers, despite the benefits, has to do with licensing issues and the complications of embedding ads, as someone pointed out.

Serious question: what is the state of the art for in-browser live streaming to date ? Twitch, Google Hangouts, any "live" sport event what protocol/technology do they use ? A mix of HLS and flash ?

I don´t know if it makes much sense comparing a smartwatch with a traditional watch. They share only the form factor. I would go as far as saying they do not even share the functionality of keeping track of time: nowadays traditional watche

Yes, actually I like the idea of an internal chargeable battery through USB much more than replaceable AA batteries, since nowadays I´m very likely to have one (or two) USB chargers around when I´m travelling.
