Compare it with DNS with HTTP(s) where simple DNS blacklist and/or IP blacklist (DPI in some cases) is all you need. In case of IPFS you can ship HDDs behind the firewall and distribute content internally via local internet, intranets,

We wanted to switch long time ago to Let's Encrypt, unfortunately it isn't that simple when you have 10ths of domains and subdomains, distributed among 5-10 servers.

strncmp and other API that treats the pointer to the string and its length as separable variables are not dangerous. They are much more secure than the non 'n' options. With them you don't have to worry about lack of null ter

To get the effect they want they have to use high frequency 30-40kHz (as in name, ultrasound). They modulate it with lower frequency (which probably splits off bigger water globs) for better efficiency or something. You won't be able t

Very frequently high altitude winds are used by airlines. It means that you are taking a path that looks sub-optimal for still air perspective but with wind added it is better.

Not really true, 1Gib/s link is able to saturate HDD speed (if we are still talking local) and as you probably want to make a clone either way you might as well do it over network. 4x1Gib/s or 10Gib/s are more and more popula

Check out Nomad, I have no personal experience with it yet but it seems the best candidate so far for what we are planning in terms of docker deployment and so on.

We don't need to simulate the weather, we just need to know the long running average and deviations to estimate how much of that we need to block. Short time of high activity won't blow the atmosphere off. This is the difference b

You don't have to support hashing with all hash functions. In theory you could accept just few (and thus have their implementations) and error out in case of one that is not supported comes through.

Multihash table doesn't contain those functions but this doesn't mean that you can't change it. You can open an issue and thus start discussion about it. I am sure that it will be accepted in some form.

In case of multihash length field allows for two things, 1. truncation; 2. you don't have to know the hashing function to transparently pass it through buffers and/or compare.

Usually you don't need x16 lanes for each GPU. x8 or even x4 in PCIe 3.0 will be enough but there is no way to know without checking.

The first test was inside the DC. Many providers will have different limits on edge routers. In OVH you get no limit (limitation is your network card) in their own network and set BW/s after edge routers.
