Maybe here http://benchmarksgame.alioth.debian.org/u32/benchmark.php?te... But basically they seem to be both in the same category.

Interesting. Clojure removes mutability in the general case and removes aliasing with transients for local mutability in the particular case.

Does the thesis hold? It seems to me there are more hackers labs than before. Also they don't convey exactly the same spirit they are still from the same vein, no?

Great talk. The cameramen zoomed on the guy just when the slides with some code are shown! Anyway the slides can be found here: http://codemesh.io/slides/erik-hinton.pdf

You are confusing state redistribution of income and wealth with competitive offers. If the state was only to satisfy particular interests then you would have clientelism.

I think it's great. In the future all GNU tools will probably be extensible with Scheme.

How is "renaming of symbols" done? Did you write your own Clojure parser?

Yes, I would love to see how this framework works with other language such as CoffeeScript or ClojureScript. I personnaly had a bad experience with Backbone + ClojureScript because Backbone was way too much object-oriented to be meaningfull

I didn't want to imply that. Just that some use of C won't be covered by Go.

It's Clojure, not Closure. Google Closure is an optimizing JavaScript to JavaScript compiler. I'm not sure Go try to replace C. Most (all?) embedded systems need to control memory allocations.

Nice talk, I like how he is humble but enthusiast. The records are destructive in the example at the end. Is working with immutable data structures in Racket as easy as in Clojure?
