It never seemed to me that "ADD 1 TO COBOL GIVING COBOL." was a good idea. (FORTRAN, on the other hand, made a lot of sense.)

Jupyter (Lab) is the best thing since sliced bread. (I don't know if similar environments exist for JS or Ruby.)

You could use the damn phone as such and call. They even might appreciate it more. (Unless you have to be “chatting” continuously, of course.) And no, nobody really wants to see your face, believe me.

Probably because there may be an upper limit on the size of an individual celestial object (and thus on how many particles it can consist of) - for it to be anything other than a black hole, anyway. In the future, the Universe will entirely

Love the project. Curious: is (or could be) the focus on the kernel/NT base system only - with the Win32 subsystem/apps being shared with Wine?

The vanilla Slackware has been a perfect distro for me. No systemd; easy to keep up to date with slackpkg and sbopkg, without the dependency hell. It has been a daily driver for me both on a Thinkpad and an (oldish) Mac Mini for years now.

Susskind's series does a pretty decent job walking the reader through topics in (theoretical) physics. At a somewhat more advanced level, you can try Schwichtenberg's No-Nonsense books. I also enjoyed Stevens' The Six Core Th

Actually, the treatment of QM there is still quite modern, if more “physical” compared, say, to Susskind’s recent book.
