I tried the first line and in some situations (specifically with some remotes, i.e. kitty -> ssh -> tmux with that 1st line) it still won't fix it. I gave up kitty because the author obviously don't like tmux and is advising

I've used kitty for quite a while but it has subtle problems with tmux that I use all the time (one of the primary reason is persistent session). From the FAQ https://sw.kovidgoyal.net/kitty/faq/ and other Gi

IIRC this is not a reflection on actual CPU use. Those extra CPU usage is more like throttling. I don't remember where I read this though, worth searching about this if you're interested.

If you have an overheated phone as a rare event then you will at worst wasted a few hours of your life, if you have an exploding phone as a rare event then you will have your remaining of your life wasted.

The median minimizes the L1 norm and the mean minimizes the L2 norm. (Of the error made between the estimator and the data roughly speaking.) In this sense yes, median is some kind of average. But then it is insensitive to the outliners, wh

You must be kidding me, I was a graduate student in one of those "public Ivy" with such a low salary at 50% contract, with a spouse that holds a VISA not allowed to work, and for the duration of our VISA she never worked illegally

Looks interesting for someone who wants to bootstrap only those "stores" they support, and want to write in a DSL that doesn't translate to other usage scenarios. Don't get me wrong, it serves the general users with 4.6k

That's a bit harsh. Also you seem to assume American (or western?) spending habit that has no saving. If one would really plan for a sabbatical, I'm sure they would have planned financially from the six years leading to that too.

I have occasionally had an opposite experience with you: sometimes I worked out some math problem in my dream and I woke up to write it down. If I think about some problems while I'm trying to sleep, it would just keep me awake though.
