It is a completely different code base however and even in a wrong language so it isn’t really monad. However it is their goal (to imitate that experience) and how they market it.

For people finding good package manager for Python, conda is the best. (Mamba is even better and is a drop-in replacement of conda that you can even do conda install mamba and use mamba from there.) It doesn’t replace your setup.py or pypro

Typora is bad. It avoid the GPLv2+ from pandoc by writing their own HTML writer and the menu has additional export options that requires the user to install pandoc to be functional. It would have been much better if it is GPL and contribute

My current solutions mainly relies on homebrew + Macports + conda. Macports primarily for system level dep. use this whenever packages available. Fall back to homebrew when not available on Macports. This includes brew cask which is unique.
