The funny thing is that even though it's a Mozilla product now and even though it's somehow "integrated" in the browser, I still have to log into it separately regardless of the fact that I am already logged with with Fi

GDPR is to be implemented independently in each country. There is room for interpretation, it's not a granitic ruleset from above

I don't know, which people were laughed at in the industry for the last few decades because they wanted to have control over their own computers and run their own code on their own machines?

iPhones have 2FA embedded into the keychain. I don't know about Android but Apple users can literally start adopting TOTP without changing a single thing. Providers should simply add instructions telling people that if they have an App

SMS is not the way to go and you are conflating capabilities with poor engineering. You cannot install a barebones TOTP app on your Nokia 3310 because it is closed source. Most services don't offer third party TOTP because they are pre

Adobe products look the same across Windows and macOS. I don't think they are using so much native stuff. They even ported their software to ARM, I think they could manage a Linux transition

Photoshop exists on macOS, which is a *BSD. If something already runs on *BSD it's quite simple to port it to Linux. But they just won't do it until it becomes used enough

Everyone in academia knows that academia is shit. People are warned well in advance by peers, professors and everywhere online, and yet they still do it. Then, once the sunk cost creeps in, you can't help but partake into the rotten sy

As always, people almost never RTFM. When I see webdevs implement a hamburger menu with pure CSS I almost shed a tear. For the love if god, study your tools! (and not from SEO spam articles)

New stuff is new. Gets adopted and publicized. Public craze ensues. Reactionaries midlessly push back. Society reevaluates. New stuff is old now. Less of it, becomes assimilated. New stuff is new.... Why are people even surprised things alw
