I just read the about page. Could you help me understand a little more about how it works? It seems like a tool that could replace sessions and cookies, and possibly a browser-based database? My current project is a tournament-scoring app w

Sorry so many people got upset over that, I was trying to offer constructive feedback.

That's kind of what I was going for, yep. I use forums to learn foreign languages as well and I appreciate helpful feedback.

The life you're describing doesn't sound nearly as bad to me as it does to you. The people in this picture have family, community, people watching their back and taking care of each other. They may not have money, but they're

How much are paved roads, fire trucks, city administrators, and hospitals worth to you?

People who can make a living as writers generally have a spouse who makes much more money, more regularly. It shows.

I was able to get through a lot of my childhood tics this way - compulsive blinking, hand flapping, and a skin-folding movement of my thumb that left a open wound at the edge of my hand. Not all of them though. I've still got a bunch o

I did one of those in my first couple months of my first development job. I put a mailto in a recursive function for debugging. I thought that the function wasn't working, and since it was 5:30, decided that was enough for the day, shu

In that case, do charity organizations that collect money to cure specific diseases or cancers actually make a difference, since their donations are supposed to go to research for cures?

Filibuster is one of their favorite tools - doesn't seem like they'd want to get rid of it, in case they need it again in a few more years.

If one company has expensive treatments for a disease, and another company has a cure for it (at any price), which company is going to make more money? The one who has the cure, I'd say. Multiple companies could collude to keep a cure

I don't think that's enough, to be honest. I mean, people in various demographics all kind of get their news from the same places - reddit (various subreddits), the verge, vox, breitbart, fox, whatever your flavor is, your target

I was thinking the same thing. I don't want to wake up angry. When someone figures out a way to wake me up that feels like being gently kissed by a loved one, prodded by a dog, or the smell of frying bacon and fresh coffee, then they&#

So you make a clickbait title with a snippet of text and see if people click? And then if they click, they get... what? Clearly not the article, since you haven't written it yet. This sounds like a good way to irritate people. So then

The trackpads are what do it for me. I like using a trackpad for a mouse. It's not that their trackpads are the best, it's that every other trackpad in existence is unusably bad.

Yeah, I get you. It's why I'm sticking with my 2012 Macbook pro and honestly considering getting another Pro if it ever dies, despite all the downgrades they've made.
