Isn’t this the default behaviour in Safari though? That’s a browser that’s used by a lot of mobile phones, and it doesn’t seem to be problematic enough for it to be changed. I think this is what Safari does at least, because the Google webs

That’s genius! Using trackers to research not using trackers.. so why don’t you use more privacy oriented analytics instead of google analytics? Matomo (formerly known as Piwik) seems like a better choice, unless that option is exactly what

It’s really expensive to fire people. Not only do you lose out on the recruiting, the training, the profiling. You will have to do it all over again. I’ve never fired anyone in my entire career in the EU. I do not understand how it’s feasib

What do commuters do now while using mass transportation? Read the news, read ads or social media, talk, work. You could say that Microsoft, Facebook, Google, Apple, and Samsung are already big in the “autonomous” section, in that they alre

I find it a little annoying that there is so much recruiting on HN that I open up the comments section of an article to find someone completely off topic plainly asking people to headhunt for them.

Would Valve not rather have Microsoft than Google then? Windows users have administrator accounts and can install steam and its games without issue. Google play store would directly compete with steam.

I like this idea. It’s cute and thinks about the privacy of the people involved. However I do not know how many times this would be useful at all? How often are relatives known, but contact information is unknown? In the developed world at

I am also sympathetic to the person you are replying to. All that happened was someone asking a question, then people being sarcastic and unkind, and using the downvote button to express their dislike for such horrible questions.

That’s likely because I’ve seen a lot of people working on Wikipedia either via code or via content, prefer the mobile version even on desktop. It’s a pleasant reading experience.

It shows in both app stores on either platform. The play store gives me lots of suggestions on apps to download based on activity, and the iOS store has these write ups to promote apps. Both get them money. Does Android have something like

It's understandable if you still take it somewhat personally. You worked on it, just like an author who wrote an article in a magazine once would still likely care about that. In my case (not the person you replied to) the Antergos web

Well that’s mean. But I have to agree that it doesn’t actually work 99% of the time for me. It certainly is easier to install arch than it is trying to debug cnchi. Arch requires so much typing, but at least the installation is reliable.

This is not useful in the slightest. What was different after the war was a late 20th century boost in economy for Japan. Does Uganda learn as much every day because of a quote?

Which is what I was thinking of making it such a boon. Drivers need breaks, commutes, limited time of driving per day.

I think that if you can figure out self driving trucks, you can figure out keeping it fueled as well. As a quick and easy solution I would imagine large enough fuel tanks on the truck itself, and a couple of gas stations with people fueling

Transparency, wobbly windows, 3D-cube-virtual-desktop-switcher and desktop widgets shouldn't make any impact on any computer with hardware made since like 2007. Windows Vista did it in 2006, and it's 2018 now. We have phones with

Interesting. For what it's worth I am using Discord on Mac Safari (not TP), Win Chrome 69 (dev channel), and iOS. In one year I have not had any of the issues mentioned above. Perhaps using the desktop app can introduce problems.

Might you give us your own input then? It would be more useful to those who have not received an education in economics going beyond the freshman level, as the others apparently don't need your input.

The English proofing tools for MS Word, and likely competing platforms, should be able to catch most of those. Those are the green squiggly lines. Stylistic choices I am fine with, as long as they're readable. Grammar and spelling erro
