It sounds like you're very productive without AI or that your perceived gains are pretty small. To me, it's such a stark contrast that asking how I measure it is like asking me to objectively verify that a car is faster than walki

The "you only think you're more productive" argument is tiresome. Yes, I know for sure that I'm more productive. There's nothing uncertain about it. Does it lead to other problems? No doubt, but claiming my producti

How do I solve level 7? It wants me to select stop signs and bikes from a bunch of letters.

This is exactly the kind of thing where this is OK since it's literally impossible otherwise. It's showcasing a specific feature that is not generally available.

The fact that you don't just pay for YouTube Premium makes me think something is wrong with you. A Premium view gives much more money to the creator but I guess "just let me pay" is only relevant when you can't.

Not really. This is a thread that attracts a certain subset of people so it's expected. Compare the comments here to the ones in a thread with a more neutral premise.

They are. There's no vagueness. It's rare to see people that still don't believe LLMs can do anything at all nowadays. Most other naysayers have moved on to the much more relevant question on whether the perceived productivit

I was talking about people successfully using LLMs having no reason to convince anyone. Their success is not dependent on converting or even informing other people.

No, you've got it backwards. If anything, people are getting tired of comments like yours.

That's what the author argues, yes. It would work fine as shovelware but I have no interest in shipping that. In fact, being able to throw it out like this is a big time saver in itself. I've always built a lot of projects but whe

The people live streaming their work is a minuscule percentage of all programmers. And you can ask but the incentive to make such a video is not there unless you're selling an AI product yourself, which reduces the sample even more.

Very few people want to record themselves doing stuff or have an incentive to convince anyone except for winning internet arguments.

I presume your definition of use case is something that doesn't include what people normally use it for. And I presume me using it for coding every day is disqualified as well.

Shaders are not some hidden rendering pipeline technicality you can abstract away and forget about. Even if you don't write raw shader code you still need to use something like a shader graph for most games, or you will be very limited

The code LLMs write is much better than mine. Way less shortcuts and spaghetti. Maybe that means that I am a lousy coder but the end result is still better.

It's "just" Leaflet but that's how all map libraries work. Super easy to implement and it can be used for much more than just maps.

You underestimate how lazy people are. I always take shortcuts and skip taking edge cases into account. LLMs have no problem writing tedious guards and creating abstractions without hacks, which means the code becomes more robust than if I

You can easily get to 100x in a greenfield project but you will never get to 100x in a legacy codebase.
