I think the difference between the two is shrinking by the day. At this point I almost never need to address anything with the LLM's solution and could easily just go straight to testing for most things. The key difference is still the

Artificial cognition has been an established term long before LLMs. You're conflating human cognition with cognition at large. Weather and cognition are both categories that contain many different things.

Don't games make arbitrary drawings using fragment shaders all the time? Clouds, water lava, slime, explosions etc.

While (I presume) technically correct I don't think your clarifications are helpful for someone trying to understand shaders. The only thing that made me understand (fragment) shaders was something similar to the parent's explanat

I think their explanation is great. The shader is run on all the pixels within the quad and your shader code needs to figure out if the pixel is within the shape you want to draw or not. Compared to just drawing it pixel by pixel if you do

You wouldn't know anything about it considering you've been wrong in all your accusations and predictions. Glad to see no-one takes you seriously anymore.

Funny thing to say considering the author of Datasette himself says it's accurate.

Incredible that we happen to be alive at the exact moment humanity peaked in its interlingual communication. With Google Translate and hand gestures there is no need to evolve it any further.

I don't think you understand how off that statement is. It's also pretty ignorant considering Google Translate barely worked at all for many languages. So no, it didn't work great and even for the best possible language pair

Such an absurd comparison. It's like hearing the world's first audio recording, saying "wow sounds like total shit" and not be impressed because you can go listen to a full symphony orchestra live.

You can criticize the code but "wow looks like total shit" is such an embarrassing thing to say considering the context. Imagine going back a few years and show them a tool outputting this from text. No-one would believe it.

Pretty long stretch between "useless" and "completely satisfied". I don't think I'm completely satisfied with anything in my life including AI, but that doesn't mean I'm not having a lot of success wi

Why would you want to rerun it? In that context a human is also an unreliable compiler. Put two humans on the task and you will get two different results. Even putting the same human on the same task again will yield something different. LL

Yes, that's how you enter the lucid state. You find ways to tell that you're dreaming and condition yourself to check for those while awake. Eventually you will do it inside a dream and realize that you're dreaming.

Do you have an example? YT captions being useless is a common trope I keep seeing on reddit that is not reflected in my experience at all. Feels like another "omg so bad" hyperbole that people just dogpile on, but would love to be
