This would look like a handler taking an IO token that provides a memoizing get_or_execute function, plus utilities for calling these handlers, correct?

Are there any server-side frameworks that look like HTMX in the browser but allow writing functional-style code for managing all that HTML mutating itself?

GP is saying that GHA would need zero information about AWS if CodeBuild used a Github token and listened for GHA runs.

As mentioned by sibling comments, these two parts are very different. GHA and alternatives are primarily for CI; many people choose to use it solely for CI. For these reasons I did ignore CD.

Hmm, I have long assumed that a perfectly executed CI/CD setup would be based on a generic task runner... But maybe not? Only the CI part needs to build; it needs little else and it's the only part of a coherent setup that needs t

CI shouldn't do deployments, deployment pipelines should run separately when a new release passes CI Of course the general purpose task runner that both run on does need to support secrets

It's really unfortunate that Default is often interpreted as "recommended" when the trait makes/requires zero guarantees beyond the value being a valid member of the type.

There's a difference between: - the system compensating for the network being fallible - the system not fulfilling its design goals - the system not being specified well enough to test if the design goals were fulfilled

I don't think we disagree? Bad code makes it harder to make changes, that's why it's bad.

I continue to be surprised that in these discussions correctness is treated as some optional highest possible level of quality, not the only reasonable state. Suppose we're talking about multiplayer game networking, where the central s
