We need to do better than ISA specific intrinsics. There should be a simd.h header in the C standard library that contains typedefs for vector types, and various functions to operate on them as well as Operators for them. Like my _Operato

I hear that Akashi uses it for Apple Mx graphics drivers, but I’m not aware of any widespread real world use.

Why does such a thing need to be a business to begin with? Just host a github or expose this functionality on wikipedia.

I mean, it’s the higher energy site, right? So heat it? Better yet, do something like a microwave oven tuned to Lead’s resonant frequency to encourage all the sites to be in the higher energy state as the crystal structure is forming.

What’s really interesting to me as a non-scientist, is that the process of creating this is widely used in at least two different industries. In silicon it’s called doping, and it’s pretty much the foundation of modern thin and strong glass

The biggest question to ask is, why after 90 years of secrecy, coverups, and gaslighting the general public, have they started the disclosure process, specifically starting with that New York Times/Pentagon confirmed story in 2017.

I don’t get why Apple doesn’t sponsor the project and make Mold the default linker in Xcode. Give him a stack of cash for his work and make all well with the Universe. It’d be so easy for them.

There is 0% reason Nancy Pelosi should be allowed to be one of the best traders in history, it’s nothing but corruption. Either lawmakers should not be allowed to own stock, or insider trading shouldn’t be a crime, though the latter option

This problem wouldn’t exist if linux had a stable ABI. Hopefully Fuchsia’s stable ABI promises pan out and companies start releasing drivers for it.

I know git uses deflate hence my first paragraph. Doesn’t mean those deflate trees are optimal, as you can see with tools like OxiPNG optimizing the deflate compression to reduce png file sizes by about half. The same optimization could be

Honestly, it’d be nice if there was like a PNGCrush for git repos. Or maybe even if Git offered zstd compression would be cool too.

I’m amazed that Servo is actually a thing. Firefox abandoned it years ago, and now Flow and Ladybird are from-scratch new, efficient browsers.

Honestly, AM and FM radio are antiquated shit. Radio should be digital, and preferably lossless. There’s no reason Stereo FLAC, 16 bit 44.1khz audio at about 1000 kbps couldn’t be delivered.

The feds run all the entrance and exit nodes. Tor was created by the feds for spies to use, then they made it public yo hide the traffic. This is the official story that everyone has evidently forgotten.
