The article claims this is portable C. Given the use of intel intrinsics, what happens if you try to compile it for ARM64?

Being able to DOS the system by calling an API should be considered a bug in the system. There are mitigation strategies for such things. If you can’t (for mitigation purposes) distinguish a DOS from desired behavior, there’s something very

How exactly are they measuring this? Apple won’t release those numbers; they’re between the App Store and the developer.

C compilers may not optimize tail recursion properly, so it's not necessarily safe to teach C programmers to do that.

It's definitely too late for LCM -- the heirs don't care about the societal value and are parting it out. It's gone. It'd be super cool if CHM added a living computers wing. They've done a few nice restorations of s

Your first two points don’t seem valid, in my experience. The Ruby 2.0 migration wasn’t that interesting from a compatibility perspective; it certainly wasn’t anything like Python 2 -> 3. And Ruby is __not__ slow compared to bash. I don’

The article is calling two-speaker mono “high fidelity” so I’d take details like this with a grain of salt. I’m sort of wondering if TFA is AI filtered content from another site.
