Meanwhile Garmin watches users (like me) are wondering how it is that syncing my watch that I have bought with an application on my smartphone that I have bought requires presence of some distant online service. You really wonder that? I&

Why would anyone use this? Just write your own login, it's not hard, and you don't have the dependency on a 3rd party site that can go down at any point in time.

The article is so low on details. I wish there was a more in-depth explanation. Isn't the first connection (with unknown host key) always a target for MitM attacks and thus insecure, unless you preload the host key?

Meanwhile the TeamCity classic GUI has frequent freezes that lock up the entire Browser tab, and they claimed that they fixed it but it's still happening in the latest release. Nice blog post but fix your shit please.

Last time I used Geany, the laptop fan spun up like crazy and my battery drained like it's nobody's business. I quickly stopped using it.

Yes. Stop using Windows. Contribute to FOSS alternatives. License your code GPL3. Don't ask someone else to change. Be the change.

I'd love to see more gameplay. In fact, I'd love to play it myself. I just can't believe it replicates the original gameplay exactly.

The most important thing is this: You pick a problem you want to solve, you pick the tools you want to solve that problem with, and one of the tools in your bag of tools is deep learning which you may end up using. Do it in that order. Do n

In my personal experience, Rustc is not slower than GCC or Clang. If anything, it may even be faster. If you transition from C++ to Rust, you don't need to worry about compile times. Obviously C compiles much faster than both C++ and R

It's web-based, so worthless for any serious programs. I'll stick to GTK even though GTK sucks.

How is calling it "Wuhan Virus" racist? It's literally the truth. I mean, the Spanish flu is also called the Spanish flu, and nobody's complaining.

Why is that demoralizing? Even if you're a mediocre programmer, you're miles ahead of the industry standard. It's a good time to earn money.

My hypothesis is that both stress and depression vastly speed up aging, hair being the least of the problems. It is good to see research about this subject.

Like Julian Assange. That's how authoritarian governments go after journalists, by pretending some law was violated in the process of obtaining and publishing the incriminating material.

I never did computer science Trust me, C++ is far from computer science (as in, the actual science). You might even be at an advantage if you're more of a hands-on person than a mathematician.
