I have to disagree with your 'Neustar is a nice DNS provider' statement. I used them for 2 years, most of that time I was unhappy but because I was locked into a contract I had to wait it out or else pay a hefty breakage fee. Their website/

Good point, our wiki is a backed by a mercurial repo, which is mirrored on bitbucket, and most people also have it checked out locally, so that if there was an outage that prevented us from viewing the wiki, we have other ways.

It's about time, the performance of EBS is horrible. It's currently only available for 3 instance types. Hopefully they roll it out to more later on. m1.large = 500 Mbps m1.xlarge = 1000 Mbps m2.4xlarge = 1000 Mbps Pricing seems reasonable,

What do that say "There's no such thing as bad publicity", I guess this company is going to JPEGmini, is about to find out. They are getting way more publicity then they thought, but the wrong type.. Too bad, looks like a nice camera.

Don't think it was just heroku, lots of other sites were down as well, netflix.com, etc. most likely another AWS issue.

I'm still seeing issues, some instances that aren't starting, and others I'm still not able to connect to. So I'm not sure what they are talking about.

You're right the math is wrong on that one, but it isn't the only thing wrong. SSL is 160MB not 128MB. We will double check the numbers and fix it. Thanks for pointing that out.
