I'm curious if there's a good way to extend this to reply videos that refute the main video. If you lock it to the original authors control then if someone e disagrees with them and is fact checking their BS that reply would never

If it's anything like redesign work I'm used to, someone redesigned and just happened to remove it with little reason for it. Then the numbers went up as people had to scroll so they assumed everyone loved the redesign and didn&#x

That would kill a lot of Twitter culture though (for better or worse). Changing a name for "spooky season", updating a profile pic to promote a new event, etc. It also would make it risky for a large company to change their logo (

You'd still have edge cases where a change in verified name is needed (marriages, avoiding deadnaming, etc). A solution like this might narrow the problem space, but it doesn't solve the issues.

That isn't always easy to verify though if you aren't familiar with the person, their public image, and their current events. For example if Ed Sheeran changes their profile picture to an X, how do you know he means his Multiply a

I'm not sure a bar is the best analogy here though. Yes a bar also derives value from it's users in a way, but a customers value there only really exists for as long as they are in the building. The customer doesn't invest th

Your last option sounds appealing to me here. Yes it does mean that you can never really make the name of your repo fully private after it's been started, but the name isn't really what's important most of the time. And there

You've described my situation too, though it's not a rent increase I'm worried about, it's the installation of a mandatory smart lock that I've somehow avoided for a few months now.

+1 to learning a little bit of Vim, but I'd say buffers aren't necessary to get a passable experience. At least for casual SSH purposes. Never been able to get the hang of tmux though. I know it's super powerful but I feel li

I'm not sure the exact breakdown of their rewards, but baking a COL adjustment and a merit increase in a single number doesn't really count. Makes it way too easy to reduce pay increases.
